Ammuuu

Olin jo aikaisemmin päättänyt, etten julkaise lehmä -kuvia, mutta tulin kuitenkin siihen tulokseen, että lehmät ovat keskeinen osa Sveitsiläistä kulttuuria ja näin ollen velvollisuutenani on kirjoittaa niistä.
Luonto ja eläimet ovat täällä paljon lähempänä ihmistä. Aitaukset ovat lähellä asutusta ja ylhäällä Juralla, lehmät saavat vaellella isoilla alueilla mielensä mukaan.

Syyskuun lopulla lehmät tuodaan alas vuorilta juhlallisin menoin, mutta siihen asti ne saavat iloisesti, lähes vapaina, nauttia Juran ruohosta ja ohi kiitävistä vaeltajista.
Minulla ei juuri ole kokemusta lehmistä, mutta sen olen täällä huomannut, että näillä lehmillä on persoona. Ne seuraavat vaeltajia, nauttivat kesän viimeisistä lämpimistä hetkistä ja seuraavat jopa tennistä, sunnuntai-iltapäivänä.

I was already decided that I am not going to publish these pictures of cows, but then again I changed my mind. I understood that cows are big part of Swiss culture and here those animals are much closer to people than anywhere else I´ve been. Animals live close to people’s houses and up at the Jura cows are free to live and wander around fields and huge areas.
End of September cows come down from Jura, back to barns. Locals celebrate that as end of summertime. Until then cows can enjoy the freedom, green grass of Jura and passing hikers.
I don’t have much experience of cows but I’ve noticed that these cows over here, they have a persona. They are interested in hikers, they enjoy the last days of summer and they even follow Sunday sports at local tennis court.
